The Mercon Coffee Group is committed to the coffee industry and its participants. In Central America, since the 2006-2007 harvest, we have incorporated a technical assistance program into our business to offer support and accompaniment to the farmers throughout the harvest cycle.
The technical assistance program seeks to improve the productivity of the farms by obtaining world-class certifications. These seals contribute to the conservation of the environment while improving the yields of the coffee farms, having a positive impact on the lives of the farmers who obtain better prices in differentiated markets.
Currently, in Central American we have over 2,000 farmers in our program who already receive the benefits of having certified coffee.
These certifications are:
Worldwide certification that establishes the standards for responsible coffee production and collection.
Starbucks Certification of sustainable coffee production.
Protects ecosystems, as well as human and animal life.
Certification that seeks to meet basic sustainability standards 100%.
Certification designed to achieve the highest quality coffee and environmental conservation.
