Named after the majestic Colorado River in the United States, the Rio Colorado farm is located in Palencia, Guatemala at an altitude of 1,900 meters above sea level. This estate expands through 1,165 hectares of land and is one of the largest private forest reserves in Guatemala. Only 140 hectares are used for coffee cultivation producing annually 1,800 bags of 60 kg. The excellent soil quality and ideal climate conditions have allowed it’s high quality coffee to be distinguished by delicate floral notes, citric aroma and flavor and a pronounced body with a chocolate aftertaste. The estate has also incorporated good agricultural practices in all of their processes, impacting the environment and its community.
