Surrounded by centuries-old trees, El Diamante is located in Matagalpa in the Northern region of Nicaragua at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea-level. El Diamante has over 980,000 catimor, catuai and caturra coffee trees with an annual production of 4,500 60 kg bags. This third generation heritage has been in the Castillo family since the 1930’s. Currently, the property is owned and managed by the Castillo brothers Victor Hugo, Jaime and Juan. The family attributes the success of the farm to environmental consciousness and social responsibility with their community and workers.
